SESSA calls on DoE to clarify solar rebate programme as solar geyser installations dwindle
The Sustainable Energy Society of Southern Africa (Sessa) on Friday called on the Department of Energy(DoE) to follow its three-step “rescue plan” aimed at resolving the uncertainty surrounding the administration of the solar rebate programme.

CS Installers, in conjunction with Cape Town Solar Energy system supplier SunScan and solar water heating experts Condor Solar, have been installing SunScan 150 litre evacuated tube solar water heating systems on cottages in Pinewood Village, Pinelands Cape Town, for the past few months.
Pinewood Village, a retirement village with self-contained units and frail care units, consists of almost 200 1, 2 and 3 bedroom cottages situated in the heart of the “Garden City” of Pinelands Cape Town.
